Our Ministries

At Sunnyside Baptist Church there are a variety of ministries to help put hands and feet the biblical commands to train our children (Proverbs 22:6), to love our neighbors (Matthew 22:39), and to love and serve one another (Galatians 5:13, 1 Peter 4:10).

T.A.G.

“Truth And Grace” or “T.A.G.” for short, is a children’s ministry of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Our church gathers together at 5:30pm on Wednesday evenings for a meal. You and your family are certainly invited to our table. At 7:00pm, the children and teachers begin to gather for T.A.G. There, they will learn meaningful hymns and choruses, hear engaging stories which teach them the attributes of God, memorize scripture verses and simple catechism questions, play fun games and create purposeful crafts. Children 4yrs – 3th grade are invited to participate.

Children's Church

Children’s Church, a ministry of Sunnyside Baptist Church, for children ages 4yrs – 6th grade, meets each Sunday morning during the regular church service. This ministry, which includes songs, lessons, and games, is designed to teach children who God is as seen through the many stories in the Bible. Parents are invited to either involve their children with this ministry or to include them in corporate worship. Sunnyside desires to support parents in their efforts to raise their children in truth and grace.

Truth Group

The families of Sunnyside recognize the increasing challenges facing high school and college students. The moral revolution progressing through pop culture and the secular worldview which prevails on college campuses prove critical challenges. Parents, grounded in the word and abiding with Christ, are God’s designed leaders for youth and young adults facing these difficulties. “Truth Group” designates a monthly discipleship and fellowship time for the whole family, focused especially on this age group. Topics focus on biblical apologetics and worldview issues which are designed to reinforce parental authority and equip the whole family to deal scripturally with modern and postmodern questions.

For Spanish speakers, Sunnyside hosts the Iglesia Bautista Todo Por Gracia. This mission effort is a Gospel outreach with all services held in Spanish. Danny Roten is the missionary/pastor of this group. Danny was formerly a missionary in Mexico for 32 years, and is an elder of a sister church, Sherwood Baptist of Newcastle, OK. Services are held each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
